Alon Barsheshetstaff

Dr. Alon Barsheshet received his medical degree from Tel-Aviv University, and completed his residency in medicine and fellowship in cardiology at Sheba Medical Center, Israel. In 2009 he joined the Heart Research Follow-up Program at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester NY. After completion of a clinical EP fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2013 he moved back to Israel, and since then he has been working as a staff cardiologist and an attending electrophysiologist in Rabin Medical Center, Petah Tikva Israel. He also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Rochester.

He is involved in clinical research that includes genotype-specific risk stratification in patients with the congenital long QT syndrome, indications for therapy with implantable devices, including the implantable cardioverter defibrillator and cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Dr. Barsheshet received the Mirowski-Moss Career Development Award from the University of Rochester and published more than 85 scientific articles.
